Qualifications
I have a B.A. in English and French from Portland State University, where I graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA and was a 10-time member of the President’s List. Now I’m a published author of several novels from Fractured Mirror Publishing as well as many short stories. I’m part of the editing team at Conquest Publishing as well as doing freelance copywriting and proofreading.

Rates & Turnaround Time
The goal of proofreading is to catch spelling, grammar, punctuation, and general clarity issues so nothing stands between the reader and your story. My rate for proofreading is $0.005 per word, which is intentionally below industry standard in order to increase accessibility for indie authors (typical rates are an average of $0.014 per word).
Here are some examples of cost:
- 80,000-word book = $400
- 100,000-word book = $500
- 120,000-word book = $600
For new clients, I offer a free sample proofread of the first 1,000 words so you can decide if my services are right for you.
Turnaround time is typically within 5-7 business days depending on length and complexity. But if you have a tight schedule, I can work with you, so don’t hesitate to contact me.
I prefer to use Microsoft Word track changes but can use Google Docs upon request. I send invoices through PayPal. A 50% deposit is required when I start work on your project and the other 50% is due when I return the proofread manuscript to you.
