Bonjour,
Why is it that whenever I attempt to freeform crochet, I seem to end up crocheting a flower? (Zinnia crochet pattern)
Materials
You can use whatever hook/yarn combo you like. I used Red Heart Super Saver and a size H (5.00 MM) hook.
With Color A:
Rnd 1: Ch 2, 10 sc in 2nd ch from hk, going through back bump. Sl st to 1st sc. (10 sts)
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (counts as a dc), 1 dc in same space as joining, 2 dc in each st around. Sl st to 2nd ch of starting ch-2 to join, joining Color B in slip stitch if desired, or using same color. (20 sts)
Note for Round 3: The slip stitches will be worked through both the back loop and the back horizontal bar.
Rnd 3: *Ch 3, 2 dc in 3rd ch from hk, going through back bump. Sk 1, sl st.* Repeat from * to * around. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Have you noticed the new header? My little sister kindly agreed to teach me to embroider. It was kind of tricky (I kept stabbing my fingers with the needle), but she’s a really good teacher.
That’s all for now! Have a good day.

Edited to Add: Oops, I titled this post with the wrong flower name. I’m changing it now, but that would explain why my followers just got an email titled ‘Daisy Crochet Pattern’.
I will have to try this!
