♡ the readathon ♡
I didn’t have any plans a few weekends ago, so I decided to try something I’ve seen floating around the Internet. (This is potentially a terrifying start to any story. I promise everyone involved is okay.)

Some bookstagrammers have done “readathon” day(s) where they basically do nothing but read, only stopping for meals and to sleep. This is not so different from how I normally live my life, but I thought it would be fun to properly give it a go. Ever since I was a kid I’ve read for hours upon end, sometimes frightening the people around me, and whenever I get really into a book I seem to lose the desire to stop.
So this weekend I basically did nothing but read. And here is the result…
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Total May 31 —> 560 pages
Total June 1 —> 692 pages
Total for the weekend: 1,252 pages
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Here is the breakdown for those of you who like this sort of thing.
♡ 20% of Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin —> 80 pages
♡ 60% of Emily Wilde #1 by Heather Fawcett —> 200 pages
♡ 80% of Among the Brave by Margaret Peterson Haddix —> 205 pages
♡ Turnabout by Margaret Peterson Haddix —> 240 pages
♡ Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry —> 316 pages
♡ Unboxing God by Alden Swan —> 60 pages
♡ 47% of Dry by Neal & Jarrod Shusterman —> 151 pages
To be clear, this was not “read as much as I possibly CAN.” This was “let’s see how much I WANT to read.” I have no idea how many more pages it would’ve been if it were the former. Maybe I will try that next time.
Anyway, 10/10 for the readathon experience, definitely recommend to all you nerds out there.
