Take a peek at Pigeon Press’s 2022 publishing schedule
Thank you very much for your kind response about my new publishing plan. This newsletter will be sent out twice a month with news and updates regarding my work.
I’ve actually had some interest on whether or not Pigeon Press will be open for submissions, and the answer is YES, but it won’t be until later in 2023. I want to start with a few publications before I bring anybody else on board.
The goal is to release something new every quarter, whether it’s a novel, novel in verse, or poetry collection. I have a few re-releases lined up, and that’s what I’m sharing with you today! Here’s the first look at Pigeon Press’s publishing schedule for the rest of this year.
All novels will be available in hardcover and ebook first and then a paperback edition later on. Poetry collections will be available just in paperback because they’re pretty small.
September: If all goes according to plan, The Lost Girl of Goose Creek will be ready to go sometime next month. I’ve edited the parts I wish to change, reformatted the interior, and am currently sorting out cover arrangements.
October: I’m going to improve the interior formatting on The Button Jar so that it matches the new style I’m using going forward. Not much will change. I just want everything to be consistent. This time, it will also have its own ISBN under Pigeon Press instead of Amazon.
November: You heard it here, folks…yes, I write poetry. This probably isn’t a huge surprise because I did just release a novel in verse, but I’ve been a closeted poet for years. I really enjoy poetry and will talk more about it over the next few months. I’m excited to be publishing a poetry collection of my own.
December: You won’t have to wait TOO long for the new edition of Unraveled. I’m working on rewrites currently and am pleased with how it’s turning out. I’m much happier with this version and think it reflects my improved writing. A lot can change in a few years. In 2023, I will be publishing the sequel! (2024 at the latest.)
