Yes, I’m pleased with myself for that title.
Advance Reader Copies (ARCs) have gone out to readers of Unraveled, and I am basically just excitement given human form. And nerves. I haven’t slept properly in several weeks, and I was feeling a bit run-down because of it, so I took a Benadryl last night to knock me out good. It wiped away those pesky allergies and gave me a solid 8 hours’ sleep for the first time in a long while, and I am feeling refreshed today. I am glad and grateful that people are reading Unraveled, but it is quite scary to have your work out there, and I won’t pretend I’m not nervous.
Today I wanted to share an article that I wrote for Gurt Dog Press’s blog, called “The Archetype of Mental Illness.” You can read it here.
I actually wrote this particular article as an essay for my “Folklore and Mythology” class in my second year of college. My professor was amazing, and she’s in the acknowledgements of Unraveled. That class gave me so much inspiration for the book. So, if you wish to read some musings on archetypes, you know where to find it.
And, my dear blog readers, you should look for YOU in the acknowledgements. Of course I couldn’t list you individually, but you will always have my gratitude for encouraging my writing. Without you, I wouldn’t have finished Unraveled, so you helped make my dreams come true. <3
