Hello!
I recently discovered Canva, which is a free site you can use to easily make book covers, blog graphics, and tons of awesome stuff. It’s very easy to use and is super professional-looking. For example, here’s my featured image for this post, which took me about fifteen minutes to make:
Anyway, I was messing around on Canva and I decided to fancily format some yarn-related quotes to share with y’all. I got some of the backgrounds from this site, which is also free and wonderful. I hope you enjoy!
Oh, and some of these quotes reference crochet or knitting, but of course it can go for either. It just depends what the quote author was using as an a example. But you know that. 🙂
Vickie Howell, of course, is a crochet celebrity, but I really liked this quote. It’s quite profound, too, when you think about it; there are so many things out of our control, but you can control what you crochet. And it can be quite therapeutic, too.
I love this quote because it perfectly describes the feeling when you walk into a yarn store. At least that’s the feeling I get.
I’m sure you’ve heard of Elizabeth Zimmermann, the knitting genius. I hadn’t seen this quote before I went searching for yarn-related quotes, but I think it’s perfect. I do really find crochet to be relaxing. And I don’t really know if anyone has a 100% untroubled spirit. (If you do, good for you!) But it really can help.

Which one of these is your favorite quote? Do tell if you have any other yarn-related quotes; I’d be happy to format them in Canva if you want. 🙂
I hope you’re having an inspirational, or at least restful, Sunday.
How lovely!!! I love the Elizabeth Zimmerman quote….and I agree! 🙂 These are so fun. Awesome job! 😀
Thanks so much, Grace! I love that one too! 😀
My favourite is the second one, cos walking into a yarn store is so thrilling. You could do movie/book quotes as well, they’d look really cool. I’ve got a treasure trove of book quotes, if you need any. ?
It is quite thrilling, isn’t it? I’ve done a few book quotes with this software, but I’d love to hear your suggestions! I’ve been starting my own collection of book quotes; I’m curious to hear which ones you like. 😀 Thanks so much!
Good stuff ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Auntie T! <3 <3 <3
How true these quotes are! I am going through one of the worst things ever and one of the things that I’ve been clinging to is my crochet hook!
I’m so sorry, Cindy, about what you’re going through! Internet hug I, too, have found that crochet is really helpful at awful times. I really hope it helps you through. <3
